i seriously don't understand how people here can spend entire days studying?! it boggles my mind...(which goes to prove just how fragile it is i guess) i just came back from spending 3.5hrs (2130-0100@ DC, studying for my MUSIC 245 final coming up on wednesday. seriously...no wonder waterloo has a reputation for brainiacs. i've never seen such a studious institution in my life (and this is my 3rd one). i bumped into some ppl who told me they'd been there for 12+hrs today! O_o
well, to be fair, i guess not everyone was studying as hard as it seemed. even w/ earplugs jammed in my ear, i couldn't help overhearing the 2 girls at the table across from me discussing their latest nailpolish application techniques, the noisy hongers/FOBS cackling away in the background, and there was some dude playing some RPG on his laptop too. uy...well i guess maybe i'm just too smart. i don't require such long hours of intense academic activity to prepare for my exams. errr, then again...maybe that's not it either...
anyway, props to UW for providing the students w/ such a great campus to study on i guess. if u don't like the "ambient noise" of DC you've got plent of other places to go too; SLC (3rd floor, 2nd floor), DP, Career Services (ur secret's out Alex!), ES Lounge, ML Lounge, or any of the classrooms that are open 24hrs.

well, at least Christmas is almost here. funny how this time of year always seems to make people feel all sorts of different things: happy/cheerful, lonely/melancholy, excited/anxious, to name a few...generosity is definitely in there too. in fact, i was feeling pretty generous myself this evening.
